My values

I consider Natalie Coughlin my hero because I look up to her for her amazing swimming strength. I believe she believes in respect for the sport of swimming. The lessons I learn from her is to become a better swimmer and inspire other people to swim. This person i think respects the values of respect, kindness, and citizenship. Me and this person have the same values of respect and to value the sort of swimming. I want others to respect the values of citizenship by helping others in different ways. I also want them to respect the value of kindness and how it is nice to say things to people and not say mean things that might hurt their feelings. This is the way i look at how values should mean things to others.

Suidide Prevention

Learning about suicide made me really think what an awful thing it really is. I learned that you can get different ways to help you from not doing it. For example talking to people about it and finding ways to get help. Some warning signs that i learned was if the person talks about it a lot, they start pulling out their hair or they act like they don't have any friends. The ways i learned to help suicidal people is to tell an adult, talk to them about, and that if you don't tell someone you could have a person be killed. All of these things made me think about how awful suicide is and that anyone who is attempting it should think otherwise.
